Parents' Guide
Dometown is a game about building a little town on the Moon and helping the neighbors next door. Here’s how we look after children who play it.
- No ads.
- Only looks are for sale, at plain prices: no loot boxes and no virtual currency. Every purchase goes through the App Store, so Family Sharing’s Ask to Buy works.
- Age: we use Apple’s age range and never ask for a birthday. Children under 13, and anyone who hasn’t shared an age range:
- pick their names from a list instead of typing them;
- can only leave preset notes, such as “The park is lovely” or “Thanks for coming over to help”;
- add friends only with an invite code, so only people they know.
- What others see: the child’s colony, and the name and flag they picked. Nothing that identifies the child.
- Reporting and blocking: every name and note can be reported, and anyone can block another player.
- Notifications: only after you allow them, and they can be turned off at any time.
- Deleting: in the app, Settings › Delete Account; it’s deleted within 7 days. You can also write to us.
